When we created aétai, it felt a little more personal. Growing up in New England, the region’s dual nature resonated with me from a young age—simultaneously captivating and beautiful.
One aspect is characterized by natural, rugged terrain, while the other showcases colonial port towns, rich in tales of whaling and maritime culture.
This duality inspired us to develop the core accords of aétai. A fragrance rooted in natural features, floral notes, aromatics, and marine undertones, complemented by darker, sensual elements that reflect the seafarer culture and dark history.
Origin of name: derived from the Algonquian language of the Northeast meaning, “on both sides”.
“(aétai) a scent with depth, mystery, and endless appeal.”
